Overview
After being diagnosed with cirrhosis in January 2025, Kendra England was referred to UW Health, where her liver disease continued to progress despite treatment. Following a comprehensive transplant evaluation, she was placed on the liver transplant waiting list in November and received a donor liver just weeks later in December 2025. Her transplant surgery, supported by advanced machine perfusion technology that helped preserve and assess the donor organ, was successful, and she recovered with few complications. Today, England has returned to work in home health care, enjoys an active lifestyle with her family and says she has more energy and motivation than she has felt in years.
